| The Art Affect (Arturo J Escobar) born and raised in San Francisco, CA. is a latino of Costa Rican and Hundoran decent. DJ'ing since 2004, The Art Affect was first exposed to the electronica music scene during the early day's of the SF rave culture. As this new music culture grew bigger and more embraced by San Franciscans and the bay area, so did Art's passion and love for the scene. To become a part of this music revolution and make his contribution in keeping it alive he decided to became a DJ himself. The Art Affect is currently a local San Francisco resident playing in clubs all over the city. He has a good range in his mixing of house music with styles including soulful, deep, funky, disco, chunky. techy, electro and progressive. The Art Affect's main focus and forte' in his mixing is hard and progressive house beats. As of 2006 to emerge as a well known DJ in the industry he began producing his own music. The Art Affect's first track and album will be released this year under his own label, Affective Recordings. |
